This morning I had a few thoughts rolling around in my brain that I thought should be shared. Whether you find a nugget of truth in these thoughts or most of it’s simply nonsense, I hope a little portion of these words resonate with you. As hardworking ladies and fierce business owners, it can be tough out there! Just remember that you’re not alone.
You are doing good things. Don’t let someone else’s success distract you from your course. You are doing good work. Keep it up!
Making money feels awesome, but learning to listen to your body and taking a break when you need one is way more awesome. You deserve lunch breaks, potty breaks and even a vacation!
Be kind to yourself. Really.
Surround yourself with people who will challenge you to grow. You never stop learning so go out there and make friends with people who will teach you things.
Tomorrow is another day. If today kicked your booty, pour yourself a glass of wine and breathe it all out. Tomorrow is ripe with do-overs.
Just because someone hired you, it doesn’t mean they own you. Let that truth sink into your soul for a minute. No bully client has the right to talk down to you, monopolize all of your time or make you feel less than you are really worth.
Your experiences are valid. Don’t let others undermine what you know.
Don’t lose sight of why you started. Once you become disconnected from you core, disconnect throughout your entire brand is only a matter of time.
Life is too short to spend all your days glued to your inbox. Put down the phone and go make some memories!
You will get it wrong sometimes and that’s okay. How you handle your failures will say more about you than how you handle your successes. Learn from what knocks you down and allow it to make you stronger.
Through your highest highs and your lowest lows, remember that you are precious and you are loved! That sweet truth is often the fuel to our fires that we so desperately need.
Now go out there and make great things happen, lovelies!
I definitely needed all of this. I’ve had to deal with negativity and critiscim all of my life. I truly started to believe it! Then I remembered that God made me this way to do great things, and those who cannot see things the way I do are just not part of the victory story. Thank you!
“Just because someone hired you, it doesn’t mean they own you.” Gah, nailed it. Thank you for your beautiful nuggets of truth, wisdom and encouragement!!
Great inspiration!
